Her past work for South Stream includes Twelfth Night (Olivia), Blackbird (Una), and Time Stands Still (Mandy), as well as others. Barrett has been fortunate enough to perform in over twenty productions during her time in the Triangle and has found her second home in the arts community. Personally and professionally, you can always find her in the midst of many creative endeavors such as writing, acting, creating, and producing. A special thank you to Brook North for giving her the opportunity to poke someone’s eyes out.

He would like to thank the Lear cast and crew for making this great tragedy such a fun one. Much love to his family and, of course, to Cedrik, the best bird a boy could ask for.
Seth Blum

Atticus' father is delighted to be appearing with South Stream for the first time. Many thanks to Rebecca for letting him out of the house and to this wonderful cast for helping him catch up. Previous Bardly credits include Iago, Caliban, Richard III, and Hamlet with Bare Theatre. Most recently Seth appeared as Greg in A Kid Like Jake and with Vixen and as Sherlock Holmes in A Sherlock Carol with Cary Players. Past favorite roles include a variety of Renaissance villains and ingenues such as Iago (Othello), Mephistopheles (Doctor Faustus), Perdita (The Winter’s Tale), Miranda (The Tempest), and Portia (The Merchant of Venice) with groups like the Atlanta Shakespeare Company, the Tennessee Stage Company, and Theater Emory. She can be seen next as Ruth Condomine in Blithe Spirit (TheatreFEST 2025). Given the character she's playing in King Lear, she would like to offer this quote: “Imaginary evil is romantic and varied; real evil is gloomy, monotonous, barren, boring. Imaginary good is boring; real good is always new, marvelous, intoxicating” (Simone Weil). Enjoy the show!

Maggie Lea
Goneril
Maggie Lea was drawn to this production by the immense talent and goodness of the people involved. Let's be honest, a lot of her friends are on that stage and she really wanted to hang out with them. Meanwhile, trying to justify villainy takes a lot of time and imagination. It's been an excellent practice, in these wildly challenging times, of finding humanity where there seems to be none, like a flower trying to push through the pavement.

Chloe Oliver
